Famous Architect’s building Materials Application
Architectural and Structural
In this individual assignment we have to pick an architect and his or her building to do research and investigation on, by differentiating structural building materials and architectural building materials. I chose Jewish Museum Berlin by Architect Daniel Libeskind.
Outcome
Reflection
In this assignment I learned the basic materials that use in construction and the pros & cons and the knowledge for the exterior and interior materials. And some more of the materials installation concept. Throughout this assignment it is fun to explore the materials that are used and the reason for materials selection.
Project 2:
Construction Detailing of Building Elements
In this group assignment we have to select one existing terrace house and produce the technical drawing for it and also build a model that shows the materials on the building from section cut.

In this assignment I learned the importance of beams and columns as the structure for the building, the materials like RC the functions and applications. Working with the students from Interior Architecture was tough at first because they did not done something like this project required us to do, like the technical drawings it took a lot of time to done it as an Architecture students we have to guide them due to we have the experience on producing technical drawings. The process of doing model is fine because both of the students have done model in their previous semester.
